The SKB 5U 20-inch Deep Half Rack is a professional shock-absorbing rack case designed for the safe transport of 5U of rack-mounted equipment. Quick access to your equipment, even on the workbench

The internal rack features SKB’s patented ‘positive lock’ latching system and slides open like a drawer, allowing you to access your equipment in a flash without having to dismantle anything. Do you really need to be able to access everything? Then the rack is also fully removable, handy for integration onto a workbench or into a fixed setup. For transport, this half-rack case is fitted with a built-in extendable pull handle, wheels and four comfort-grip spring-loaded lifting handles, making lifting and rolling much more comfortable.

MIL-STD construction, shock absorption and stackable design

Like all 3RR Series Shock Racks, the enclosure is rotomoulded from LMDP (Linear Medium Density Polyethylene) and designed to meet (or exceed) MIL-STD 810H. The eight elastomeric shock absorbers provide effective decoupling and are suitable for a standard payload of 40 to 150 lb. The black powder-coated stainless steel hardware is recessed for extra protection. Thanks to the stacking ribs and lugs, you can also stack it with SKB 3RR/3RS shock racks as well as other brands.
