Electro-Voice ZLX-15P 15-inch two-way active speaker

Electro Voice has designed this ZLX-15P active speaker with a clear vision in mind. It had to be lightweight, it had to deliver a lot of power for use on stage, and it had to have better sound quality than the majority of other speakers in its class. They have succeeded in their quest, and the result is this ZLX-15P, equipped with a 15-inch woofer that, together with the 1.5-inch compression driver, is driven by a 1,000W digital amplifier. The built-in signal processor can be controlled with a single press of a button and makes it possible for you to fine tune your speaker in an organised fashion.

Born for the stage

Artists, musicians, DJs and all kinds of other entertainers are going to want to get their hands on this active speaker. And once they have, they'll find that it's easy to lift too, as this ZLX-15P weighs a mere 17 kilograms. Moreover, connecting the speaker is a cinch. At the rear of the speaker you'll find two combined microphone/line inputs, each with their own gain control, a mini jack input for your MP3 player, and an XLR output for daisy chaining your combined signal to a second active speaker.

QuickSmart DSP 1-button control

A number of adjustments can easily be made in the DSP section, depending on your goals and purposes for the ZLX-15P. With the simple press of a button, you can make adjustments for the musical style (background music, DJ use, vocals, live music), the position of the speaker (stand or distance rod, monitor, mounted) and whether it's being used with or without a subwoofer. An LCD screen is available for viewing the settings, and is visible even on dark stages.
