General

The QSC K8 is an active speaker with an impressive power capacity of 1000 watts while only weighing 12 kilos! Its sturdy ABS housing makes it built to last and the M10 thread make it easy to fly on a truss.

QSC K8: powerful speaker

This K8 speaker by QSC with integrated amplifier has a whopping 1000-watt capacity of RMS power and a peak of 2000 watts! The capacity that comes out of this lightweight, digital amp needs to go somewhere, naturally, so QSC equipped it with an 8-inch woofer with a 4-inch voice coil. This, combined with a 1-inch driver and a 1.75-inch voice coil, result in a maximum sound pressure of 127 dB!

To keep this high-quality K8 speaker looking and sounding as good as new, QSC has included a protective cover made of water-resistant nylon. It's easy to slip over the speaker and it has a roll-up panel that allows you to access the rear at any time.

Waw!

Als beginnende DJ wist ik echt niet waaraan beginnen om een goede klankinstallatie te kopen met een beperkt budget. Dus vroeg ik hulp aan Bax-Shop.nl en wat een service weer, voor het vooropgesteld budget kon ik 2 van deze k8's kopen en 2 Ksubs. Eenmaal thuis geleverd heb ik deze direct opgesteld en wat een geluid!
Zowel de levering, service als product waren perfect in orde.

Wat ik goed vind aan deze K8:

+ Klein = ideaal voor een mobiele DJ
+ 105 graden range, dus je kunt er een grote zaal mee vullen
+ is professioneel
+ heeft een moderne look
+ is zeer stevig
+ heeft veel in- en uitgangen
+ zuivere klank zonder ruis

Wat beter kan?
- prijzig (maar is echt wel zijn geld waard!)
- best ook een beschermtas bijkopen
- ik weet niets meer dan dit..

Dus mijn conclusie: voor een beginnende DJ of gevorderde DJ is deze actieve luidspreker echt wel zijn geld waard. Ideaal voor een mobiele DJ, neemt weinig plaats in, is professioneel en wat een geluid.

Wat een super geluid! Meerder à merken er naast gehouden, maar wat een verschil! Echt een prachtig helder geluid met wat donkere bassen! Deze topjes kunnen zelfs zonder bass! Gelijk overtuigd en aangeschaft!

En daar sta je dan met je monitorspeaker opeens te draaien, omdat de versterkers van het cafe overbelast zijn.
Niet te geloven wat voor een power uit deze speaker komt! Met de deep-functie krijg je wat meer basgeluid. Op zich klinkt het erg goed, maar als je met 1 speakertje voor 120 man staat te draaien, dan kun je natuurlijk ook niet teveel ervan verwachten voor een 8" die je als monitor hebt aangeschaft.

Maar...we hebben er wel nog een feestje van weten te maken.

Nu meer over de speaker:

Plug&play.
Zeer goede afwerking
Lage krasgevoeligheid
Zeer geschikt als monitor.

Het kost wat, maar dan heb je ook wat.

De bijpassende hoes is ideaal. Alleen de onderkant van de speaker is niet bedekt.

Ik heb er 1 gekocht om te kijken hoe deze klinkt en hoe de kwaliteit is. Heb veel over QSC gehoord en gelezen en denk dan ook in de toekomst een complete set ervan te gaan aanschaffen. Misschien ook bij BAX, want voor de prijs en service hoef je het niet te laten.

Deze speaker is echt enorm compact en ziet er ondanks het kleine gestalte wel stoer uit! Klinkt heel HiFi- achtig, met de DEEP modus geeft deze verrassend veel bas en is dus zeker wel bruikbaar op lage volumes. Grote plus aan deze kast is buiten zijn gewicht en mooie klank ook zijn grote spreiding, ideaal te gebruiken als sidefield of als FOH in brede, ondiepe zalen. In combinatie met een baskast (met crossover) kan dit kastje nog een pak harder zonder dat de limieter optreedt... Een aanrader!

Deze speaker vandaag getest in de winkel, echt een superspeaker!! Mooi mid en hoog, uiteraard wat weinig laag wat logisch is voor een 8 inch speaker. In combinatie met een subwoofer is deze speaker echt helemaal af!! Een echte aanrader!!! Veel vermogen voor weinig geld.
