General
Compact and highly flexible, the Audient ASP4816HE console records sixteen channels simultaneously via a full set of ASP008 preamps which have come straight from the bowels of the ASP8024 flagship; supplies forty-eight inputs for the mix-down; and in terms of analogue mixing, smashes all the expected limits. So if you though that analogue mixing was obsolete or even archaic, think again. The ASP4816HE doesn't just lay out unlimited routing options, but via the six auxiliaries, you can leave all of your outboard reverbs and delays permanently plugged in. On top of al of that, every input has been kitted out with inserts and the eight sub-groups and master bus feature balanced inserts. Basically, that wall of outboard gear is about to get very busy.
In-Line Architecture
Every channel strip is actually made up of two channels: a recording channel that sends directly to your DAW, and a playback/mix channel that lets you hear what's happening in your DAW. So, each channel comes with two faders. The smaller fader sets the recording level and the bigger fader controls the monitor level, while the equalizer section can be assigned to the recording or the monitoring and the bands can even be split up yourself.
The Master Section
When you've got an ASP4816HE console at your fingertips, there's no need to set up a monitor controller on the side. Instead, you can simply control the monitoring level directly via the monitor section planted on the right of the control panel, which includes other essential functions like mono, dim and phase.
