The Float Dual Moving Filter from Old Blood Noise Endeavors is the ultimate stompbox for filter fanatics. Besides taking care of standard filtering jobs, this digitally-controlled analogue stompbox enables you to independently filter two signals to unique effect, giving you the option to split up your stereo signal and make both sides meet again in various ways. As a result, the sound is set in full motion, with exciting harmonic variants of effects like phasers and tremolos within (foot) reach.

The Float: An Excellent Selection of Filter Effects Times Two

Similar effects can be achieved by dialling in different filter types and shapes, but the real fun begins as soon as you start tweaking the Resonance, Sensitivity and LFO rate pots. The Shape controls can be hit to select six different LFO shapes to set your filtered sound in motion, while the Cut-Off Frequency sets the frequency limits and intensity. Most of this will sound familiar to synthesizer enthusiasts, but if you've yet to discover what a dual moving filter can do, you should know that the OBNE Float essentially gives you everything you need to make your sound wow, quack, warp and more - times two.
