Whether your combo amplifier or speaker cabinet is clapped out and in need of a replacement speaker or you just want to give your sound a good upgrade, you're in the right place. Here, you'll find a wide array of replacement speakers, each exclusively designed to help amplify the bass guitar.
Picking Out the Right Speaker for Your Combo or Stack
If you're replacing the speaker of your speaker cabinet or combo amplifier, then always make sure to pick out a model with the same dimensions as the original speaker that came built in. This isn't just because your amp or cab has been specifically designed for that speaker size, but because installing your new speaker will be far easier if it's actually the right size. It's also wise to go for a speaker with the same impedance (measured in Ohms) so it matches your amplifier head or amp-section and you avoid damaging the amp and/or your new speaker. For the same reason, it's also important that the speaker is able to handle a higher power output (in Watts) than the amplifier is able to deliver. The kind of magnet your new speaker comes loaded with will also have an influence over your sound. So, if you go for an Alnico magnet, you'll get warm and classic bass sound. If you go for a ceramic or neodymium magnet than you'll get a tighter and more modern bass sound. If you're looking for a highly resistant speaker, then we recommend picking out a neodymium model.
