General

The Latin Percussion Whiskey Barrel Tumba cajon is as fun to play as it looks and sounds incredible. The semi-circular body gives it a thick and deep tone, while the smaller-than-average playing surface balances things out with bright and sharp slaps. Made using New Zealand pine wood and based on a real whiskey barrel, this cajon has the same stave construction, and has been secured with metal rings for an authentic sound and finish, while the playing surface has been made of poplar and fitted with snares for that bright, percussive attack. This barrel measures 50cm high (not including the fitted feet), is 30cm broad, and 34cm deep, making it a little bit bigger than most standard cajons - hence the name 'tumba cajon'.

In de winkel meerdere cajons getest en vond deze het beste klinken. Zeer mooie klank, warme en diepe bastion. Bijkomend pluspunt is het bijzondere uiterlijk van deze canon. Past perfect in het interieur van mijn woonkamer.
Zeker een aanrader.
Kort samengevat: degelijk en goed instrument voor een zeer mooie prijs

Ik heb diverse canons getest en ik vond deze het beste klinken. Heb 'm zelf niet gekozen vanwege het uiterlijk, puur vanwege het geluid. Er zit een goede bastoon in en de hoge klank klinkt voldoende scherp. Bij sommige cajons is het verschil tussen de hoge en lage toon te weinig en is het geluid te dof. Daar heeft deze geen last van. Wel een nadeel vind ik de gladde bovenkant waardoor je minder stevig zit.

Hij is geweldig! Hij klinkt zoals een cajon zou moeten klinken, maar dan met een beter uiterlijk!
Heel erg passend binnen de band, aangezien we Ierse en Schotse Folk spelen.
