A tube amplifier has certain characteristics that set it widely apart from a transistor-based model. Enthusiasts praise the dynamic response, warmth and distortion. Numerous tube guitar amplifiers have been made over the past sixty years, but only a few have reached cult status. One of these is the Fender '57 Bandmaster. This model is a reissue of the original 1957 Bandmaster.

Fender '57 Bandmaster: distinctive character

To capture the spirit of the vintage tube combo, Fender has carefully studied several older, worn-down examples to minutely recreate the complete electrical circuit (5E7 model). Three 10-inch P10R-F speakers (co-produced by Jensen) were fitted to the solid pine housing and partly produce the '57 Bandmaster's distinctive sound. Three preamp tubes and two power amp tubes together produce about 26 watts of tube power. Also, the amp is equipped with a tube rectifier that converts alternating current to direct current.

Unique combination, unique sound

It's the combination of the three speakers with the tweed-finished pine cabinet and the vintage 5E7 circuit that creates the revival of the legendary Bandmaster sound in this reissue model. The combo was made to produce a warm, sensitive tonal response and its subtle overdrive adds a refined rip to rugged touches.
