General

The Midas M32 LIVE is a digital mixer that's perfect for live use as well as work in the studio. In addition to up to 40 simultaneous input channels, 25 mix buses and 32 microphone preamplifiers, a total of 96 inputs and 96 outputs are available through an AES network. There are also 32 bi-directional channels for live recording or playback that work with USB or one of the double SD card slots on the back of the unit. Recordings can be up to 3 hours long! The M32 LIVE is also a 32 x 32-channel audio interface that can be used as a DAW controller and works with Mackie and HUI protocols.

M32 LIVE: operation and effects

While operating a mixer like the M32 LIVE may look complicated, it's actually relatively straightforward. The motorised faders set the volume levels and they can even be controlled by a smartphone or tablet after you've downloaded a suitable app. The same goes for the on-board effects that include a compressor and reverb that can be set to one of the 8 stereo FX engines. Each channel has its own 4-band parametric EQ and a gate or compressor can be added to each channel individually. There's a channel strip on board too giving you even more options. In short, the Midas M32 LIVE has it all!
