General
The Pioneer DDJ-400 is a 2-channel dedicated DJ controller for Rekordbox DJ. Thanks to the Tutorial Function, it's an ideal piece of equipment for beginners and advanced users are sure to appreciate it too, especially since Pioneer have made it entirely compatible with Algoriddim Djay. With the addition of Rekordbox, the DDJ-400 is specifically designed to help you master your DJ skills, step by step.
DDJ 400: Familiar Yet Progressive
If you think the Pioneer DDJ-400's layout looks familiar, you're not mistaken. The entire controller was in fact modelled after Pioneer's flagship NXS2 series and sports the brand's unmistakable club-style layout. It features a DJM-style mixing panel with integrated beat effects and a CDJ-style platter with recognisable loop and cue functions. The DDJ-400 takes things even further, though, with an additional eight large pads on either side and adjustable low/high-pass filter per channel.
Ready to go
Whether you want to use the DDJ-400 at home or in the club, its lightweight and side handles make it easy to transport from A to B. It's also ready to use as soon as you take it out of the box, is fully USB-powered so you don't even need a mains socket and is equipped with a built-in audio interface. All you need to do is plug it into your PC or Mac and you can get started! This controller can also be hooked up to an iPhone or iPad using a standard lightning to USB 3.0 camera adapter (not included).
Rekordbox DJ
As well as the new Tutorial Function mentioned above, Rekordbox DJ offers a number of other handy tools that set it apart from other software packages on the market. For starters, it features Track Suggestion, which shows you a selection of tracks that best match the track you're currently playing. This ensures an optimal, intuitive workflow and allows you to make the most of your music collection. Rekordbox DJ also allows you to share your music via social media such as Mixcloud, YouTube and KUVO.

- the DJ controller comes with a licence key for Rekordbox DJ and is now also compatible with Algoriddim Djay.
- installation is required to use this controller with High Sierra OS.

Amazing controller for the price! The fact it comes with the Rekordbox DJ Software alone is the first reason to buy it! This controller arrived last week and I literally haven’t stopped using it since! The interface is hugely similar to a CDJ set up so if you’re used to a CDJ set up or you’re looking to eventually buy one then the DDJ-400 is the controller for you as all the controls are identical. The only downside to this controller is the tempo adjusters are super sensitive so it really is a pain getting your tracks to the exact same BPM without them being 0.03 out give or take. I hope they bring out a software fix on Rekordbox to remedy this in the future however in conclusion you will not regret buying this controller! Amazing! Super quick shipping time as well (I live in the UK). Thank you Bax Music!
