General
This attractive DJ set consists of the Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol Z2 two-channel mixer and two active Adam F7 monitors. The Traktor Kontrol Z2 is Native Instruments' ultimate weapon on the DJ mixer battlefield. Featuring mainly analogue technology, the Z2 is an impressive mixer with an aluminium housing, an Innofader fader and various functions that make intensive mixing easy. The mixer is supplied with two timecode vinyl records.
Traktor Kontrol Z2, F1 and X1 combo
The Z2, F1 and X1 can be perfectly combined in a fusion setup. The Z2 then serves as a powerful base station that does not only mix the signals, but also partly controls Traktor and provides a USB connection thanks to its built-in USB hub. The Kontrol F1 controls the Remix Decks, while the Z2 takes care of Macro FX, control of other effects and even cue point selection.
Adam F7 active monitors
Adam is a brand known for its high-grade studio monitors. The F7 studio monitor is fitted with a special 7-inch carbon/paper woofer and a 25mm voice coil, which enable it to deliver an impressive bass reproduction. The special ART ribbon tweeter offers a neat sound that does not lose its quality at a higher volume. The bass reflex port located at the front of the monitor adds some nice colouring to the bass tones. The monitor is powered by an internal bi-amp module with a total power of 100 watts.
