Modern-day drum computers often resemble vintage drum machines in both look and sound; however, the Vermona DRM1 MKIII Standard analogue drum synth is another story. The DRM1 drum synth has a slightly vintage status because it's a unique model that doesn't even attempt to emulate any other type of drum machine on the market today. The DRM1 may be covered in an impossible number of rotary knobs, but bear in mind, it offers eight sounds for each of nine available parameters! Each of these parameters are completely unique, which makes sense considering a kick has a totally different architecture than a hi-hat.

Once mounted in a 19-inch rack or on a desk, you can get started with the DRM1 right away. The learning curve is actually very smooth, since you will immediately hear how the effect alters your sound as you turn the rotary knobs. This device's sound is truly one-of-a-kind, as the oscillators are 100% analogue. If you want to use MIDI to trigger certain sounds, then velocity sensitivity will affect the sound too. Besides a master output, there are also separate outputs available per instrument, which is handy when you want to send individual sounds to your own effects devices.
