Once upon a time, before digital recording had even been dreamt of, and when audio existed on this physical, messy stuff we called tape, we were used to fishing through layers of fluffy noise, saturation, drift and the like to actually hear any of the recording. Now, in the age of sterile sounding digitisation... we miss the fluff! The Baby Audio Super VHS has been specifically designed to breathe some analogue life into sterile audio that just sounds too clean for its own good. This plug-in very precisely simulates the effect of old video tape recorders by lightly chewing the audio signal with Static, Heat, Shape, Magic, Drift, and Wash. In basic terms, this means adding some static noise before reducing the sample rate, adding a kind of warped chorus, messing with pitch and then adding a touch of reverb - just like tape!
