General

The 5-String Marcus Miller M7 2nd Gen is a bass guitar from Sire with all the necessary features to be versatile. With as many as 24 frets and, of course, the fifth string, this bass guitar has an immense range. In terms of sound too, this is a many-headed monster. With switchable active preamp, three-band EQ and the ability to use the two humbucker pickups in series, parallel or split-coil setup, the tonal possibilities are almost endless.

Design

When it comes to looks and build quality, the M7 doesn't leave anything to be desired either. The impressive Flame Maple top gives it a modern and striking look that will do well on any stage. The black hardware and ebony fingerboard contribute to this. The fingerboard also features Sire's Edgeless design. Thanks to the carefully rounded edges, you have less irritation and can therefore keep playing longer. The scale of this 5-string version is slightly longer than normal, namely 889 mm. This enhances the sound and sustain of the fifth string.
