The Sire P5R 5-String, from the Marcus Miller P Series, is a versatile 5-string bass guitar that makes a fine range of passive P-style tones accessible. Thanks to the extra low B string, this bass offers you a wider range, ideal for bassists who need some more deep, full bass tones. The neck, made of maple and subjected to a special roasted treatment, provides extra stability and an even more pleasant playing experience. With its 34-inch scale and comfortable C profile, this 5-string feels instantly familiar, while the solid string tension ensures plenty of response and control.

P5R 5-String: dark rosewood fingerboard with pleasantly rounded Edgeless fingerboard edges

That fine dark rosewood was chosen for the fingerboard, while the edges are also carefully rounded according to Sire's special Edgeless principle. This contributes to a smooth playing experience, allowing fingers to move effortlessly across the entire bass neck without suffering from any sharp edges whatsoever. The design of this 5-string bass guitar is perfect for bassists who like to be able to play for a long time and switch smoothly between tight grooves and melodic bass lines. This makes this Marcus Miller P5R not only comfortable, but also extremely practical for playing situations.

Characteristic vintage amplified sounds with a slightly longer range

The body, made of familiar alder, delivers you a balanced core sound with a subtle punch in the upper midrange. With just 2 dials - 1 for volume and 2 for tone - you can easily and effectively vary your bass sound, without compromising that pure sound of a passive P-style bass.
