General

The Sire Marcus Miller V5.24 A4 Natural is a passive 4-string electric bass guitar that combines the familiar vintage character of the popular V5 series with an extended 24-fret range. This gives you more scope for solos, chord playing and melodic bass lines without compromising on the classic Jazz Bass look. The North American alder body delivers a balanced tone with great definition, whilst the roasted maple neck ensures extra stability and a comfortable playing experience. Thanks to the fully passive electronics, the tone remains pure, dynamic and direct.

Classic tone with extended range

Whereas traditional vintage J-models often feature 20 or 21 frets, the V5.24 offers no fewer than 24 frets. This makes it easy to reach higher notes and gives you four full octaves at your disposal. The Marcus Vintage-J Revolution single-coil pickups deliver the recognisable open, sparkling bass tone that works superbly for jazz, funk, pop, rock and fusion. Using the two volume controls and the master tone control, you can set the perfect balance between the two pickups. The 34-inch scale length, C-profile neck, 9.5-inch fingerboard radius and rounded fret edges ensure a comfortable and natural playing experience.

High-quality finish

The V5.24 also impresses when it comes to its finish. The Natural version features a rosewood fingerboard with black block inlays and a black 3-ply pickguard. The Marcus Miller Vintage-S bridge, premium open-back tuning machines and chrome-plated hardware ensure reliable tuning and excellent resonance. The bone nut contributes to a clear string response, whilst the bolt-on neck construction supports the recognisable attack of a classic J-bass. As such, this bass offers a combination of modern playability and an authentic vintage look.
