The Sire Marcus Miller V5 A5F Natural is a fretless 5-string electric bass guitar designed entirely for enthusiasts of the classic jazz bass sound. Thanks to its passive electronics, North American alder body and roasted hard maple neck with matching fingerboard, this instrument delivers a warm, open and dynamic tone with excellent definition. The fretless design allows for smooth glissandos, an expressive playing style and the characteristic singing tone beloved by jazz, fusion and modern bassists. The Natural finish further emphasises the timeless character of this instrument.
Authentic vintage tone and simple operation
The Marcus Vintage J-Revolution pickups have been specially developed to reproduce the sound of classic vintage jazz basses as faithfully as possible. As the V5 is a fully passive design, the signal remains pure and direct, without any active electronics to colour the sound. The separate volume controls for the neck and bridge pickups make it easy to find the desired balance between the two, whilst the master tone control offers ample scope to subtly tailor the sound to any musical situation.
Superb playability and classic finish
The roasted hard maple neck features a comfortable C-profile and rolled fingerboard edges, giving the neck an instantly smooth and natural feel. The natural maple nut contributes to a clear tone and stable string action. Furthermore, the V5 A5F features a Marcus Miller Vintage S bridge, premium open-gear tuning machines and durable chrome hardware. The black binding, black block inlays and the 3-ply black pickguard give this fretless bass guitar a stylish vintage look that perfectly complements its distinctive sound.
