The Sire Marcus Miller V5 A5F Tobacco Sunburst has been designed for bassists looking for a classic, passive J-style bass with the expressive playing possibilities of a fretless fingerboard. Thanks to the combination of a North American alder body and a roasted maple neck, this 5-string electric bass delivers a warm, open tone with great definition. The fretless design allows for smooth glissandos, subtle vibratos and a distinctly vocal tone, ideal for jazz, fusion, soul and modern pop.
Authentic vintage tone
The V5 A5F is fitted with a Marcus Vintage J-Revolution pickup set that reproduces the characteristic clarity and dynamics of a traditional jazz bass. Thanks to the fully passive electronics, with separate volume controls for both pickups and a master tone control, you can easily achieve the desired balance between warmth, definition and punch. The Marcus Miller Vintage S bridge, open-back tuning machines and chrome hardware not only contribute to the classic look, but also ensure stable tuning and reliable performance during rehearsals and gigs.
Comfortable neck and high-quality finish
The roasted hard maple neck with a C-profile and rounded fretboard edges offers a comfortable playing feel that invites long playing sessions. The 34-inch scale length provides a familiar string tension, whilst the 46 mm wide nut offers extra space for precise playing on five strings. The fretless roasted maple fingerboard is finished with black block inlays and black binding for a stylish vintage look. The beautiful Tobacco Sunburst finish completes the classic design.
