The Sire Marcus Miller V7+ A5 Tide Pool is the flagship model in the renowned V7 series and has been designed to bring Marcus Miller’s signature sound to life. This 5-string electric bass guitar combines a classic jazz bass look with modern playability and versatility. Thanks to its North American alder body, this bass delivers a balanced tone with powerful low frequencies, solid mid-range and clear projection. As a result, the V7+ A5 is at home in virtually any musical style, from jazz and funk to rock, pop and fusion.
High-quality playing experience
The neck is crafted from hard maple with a comfortable C-shaped profile and a satin finish. For this Tide Pool model, a maple fingerboard has been chosen, featuring the distinctive Edgeless™ rolled fretboard edges. These rounded fretboard edges provide an exceptionally comfortable playing experience normally found only on much more expensive custom-shop instruments. The 34-inch scale length, 9.5-inch fingerboard radius and 46 mm natural-leg nut further contribute to a familiar playing feel and excellent string response across the entire range of the five strings.
Versatile electronics and hardware
On the electronics front, the V7+ A5 is equipped with a Marcus Super-J Revolution pickup set and the comprehensive Marcus Heritage-3 preamp with mid-frequency control. Thanks to its active and passive modes, you have access to an incredibly wide tonal spectrum. With separate controls for volume, tone, pickup balance, bass, midrange and treble, you can easily craft the perfect sound. The Marcus Miller Modern S bridge supports string-through-body mounting for extra sustain and stability, whilst the premium open-gear tuning machines ensure reliable tuning. The striking Tide Pool finish completes the look.
