Following a sit-down with Fall Out Boy's co-founder and bassist Pete Wentz, Sterling by Music Man are proud to present a signature StingRay that pays tribute to Wentz' punk roots and features various singular details. For a start, this Artist Series model is the first long-scale passive bass that Sterling by Music Man have ever built, and it's definitely turned into a gig-ready, nyatoh-bodied workhorse of a bass guitar that's been specifically loaded with an Alnico V humbucker for a warm-and-punchy core sound.
The Pete Wentz StingRay: Instantly Recognisable Style
It only takes one look to see that the Sterling by Music Man Pete Wentz StingRay is a one-off model. Wentz has opted for slick black hardware, a gold-coloured pickguard and a "beautiful but spooky" loon inlay at the 12th fret for custom looks. Meanwhile, the roasted maple neck, 3+1 headstock and bolt-on neck construction guarantee unwavering tuning stability and an ultra-durable build.
