Finished with staggered string posts, this smart set of six-in-line Wilkinson 162-NL-4M-2L machine heads ensure accurate and smooth string-to-nut alignment so no string trees are needed. Wrote the following about Wilkinson 162-NL-4M2L Staggered 6L EZ Lock Machine Heads (Nickel)

I purchased the staggered tuners to replace my Stratocaster standard ones and also remove my string tree for less friction and improving tuning stability! However when I fitted the new tuners they are actually taller than standard Klusons defeating the point of having a staggered post height and the strings having virtually no downward pressure on the nut . Having fitted them before measuring the heights feel I cannot return them so they are now redundant . Very disappointed and will now decide which tuners to purchase next ? but they wont be Wilkinson!
