General

It's functionality galore with Yamaha's SL-G200S Silent Guitar. Thanks to its detachable side, this model is considerably lighter and more compact than a standard steel-string guitar. What's more, it is designed to be able to handle a few bumps and nudges. Additionally, the SLG200S comes with a luxury gig bag that enables you to bring the guitar anywhere safely and easily. You can practice in silence thanks to the headphone output or enjoy the natural tones of the SRT Powered blended with those of the piezo pickup over an amplifier. It comes with stereo headphones and batteries. With this Yamaha, you will never have to be without a guitar.

SL-G200S: comfortable and practical

Yamaha has modelled the contours of the Silent Guitar after the shape and size of a traditional classical guitar in great detail. The guitar has a waist for your leg and a place for your fingers to rest, so you get the feeling and grip of a traditional guitar while you play. Additionally, you can easily attach a guitar strap to the strap buttons, and you'll never have to bring a tuner again thanks to the accurate, built-in tuning device. Guitarists who are often on the go will find the Yamaha SLG200S Silent Guitar to be a very practical travel companion.

SRT Powered System

The Yamaha SLG200S contains the SRT Powered System, designed to emulate the tonal properties and resonance of a traditional acoustic guitar. Additionally, you can use three effects (two types of reverb and a chorus) to add another dimension to the tone. Furthermore, the line input allows you to connect an MP3 or CD player so you can jam along to the tunes of your favourite band. The Line output allows you to connect an amplifier and the headphone connector lets you practice quietly.

Je suis en déplacement toute l'année. J'ai donc cherché une guitare facile à transporter et qui supporte mieux les conditions de stockage imposées par le déplacement.

Franchement la guitare est super légère et très simple a monter avec son éclisse supérieure démontable.

Côté son à vide ça résonne bien. Au casque (mon utilisation principale) cela reproduit bien le son d'une acoustique. On peut ajouter de la reverb et jouer entre le piezzo et le micro. Personnellement je mix les deux car je trouve le piezzo assez agressif.

En résumé c'est une bonne guitare, très bien finie et livrée dans une housse de qualité bien matelassée.

Je n'ai pas testé le son sur ampli mais au casque c'est déjà sympa.

Je recommande si vous devez souvent vous déplacer et que vous souhaitez jouer n'importe où.
