Roland TD-27K V-Drums Electronic Drum Kit

And when they do finally find a suitable and affordable kit, it often turns out it can't be upgraded with better components. Well, you won't be running into any of that with the Roland TD-27K. This kit is the more attainable version of TD-27KV, with the biggest difference being that the TD-27K includes an analogue, rather than digital, snare drum and ride cymbal.

Next to the analogue ride and snare, there's also a slight difference in the toms, meaning you're getting the PDX-8 toms instead of the even more premium PDX-100s. This enables not only a significant price drop, but allows you to upgrade down the road when you feel like you need to upgrade to more luxurious pads. In terms of playability and overall quality, you can expect to get what Roland always offers: ultra-realistic response and a sublimely robust build.

The TD-27 Module

Despite its smaller price tag, the TD-27KV features the same powerful TD-27 drum module as its bigger sibling. Among other things, this module is loaded with Prismatic Sound Modeling technology, carried over straight from the flagship TD-50 model. Bluetooth-ready, the TD-27 drum module can be linked up to your smartphone or computer for wireless audio streaming, saving you the headache that are mini-jack cables. Also, if you load up an SD card with your own samples in WAV format, you can then load then into the smart TD-27 drum module with built-in, 28-channel USB audio interface.
