If you need to replace a long-lost humbucker cover or want to update the look of a single-coil while pushing back the trebles and reducing noise at the same time, then you're on the right page.
Strat or Tele Sing-Coil & Humbucker Covers
Here, you'll be able to find a cover for the most common pickups going. If you need a new set of pickup covers for a Tele or Strat, or if you just want to freshen up the look with a cover in a different colour, then have a flip through our range of single-coil pickup covers to find what you're looking for. If your model is mounted with double-coil pickups, then you'll find what you need in our range of humbucker pickup covers. Of course, if you have a less-than-common model and can't find what you need, feel free to complete our Special Order form and we'll be glad to see if we can get hold of the right cover for your pups. And, if you want to give your guitar a complete facelift, you might want to consider swapping out the pickguard as well as the pickup covers.
Jazzmaster and P90 Pickup Covers
Die-hard fans of offset models like the Fender Jazzmaster can also customise their beloved six-string. Since the special single-coils have a bigger housing than the single-coil pickups of a Tele or Strat, you need to make sure you're getting the right covers for your model. These 'soapbar' pickups are also different from P90 pickups - which look very similar, so make sure you're not caught out. Luckily, we have both P90 and soapbar pickup covers available right here.
Finishes: Chrome, Nickel, Black, Gold, Parchment & Aged
When it comes to look of your pickup covers, these days you're getting more choice than ever. If you want something in classic chrome or darker nickel, you'll be able to find it. If you want a more deluxe look, then you could always opt for gold covers, or go for something in black. And, as well as traditional bone-white cover, you can also get light mint-green covers or give your axe a more aged look with some parchment-coloured covers.
Frequently Asked Questions About Pickup Covers
What's the point of a pickup cover?
Other than looking prettier than the guts of your pickups, there are a few other good reasons why pickup covers exist. They protect the inner workings of the pickup from possible damage, and sometimes, they can help shield the pickup from interference to result in cleaner, more hum-free sound.
Can I put a cover on a humbucker?
As long as the pickup cover is the right size and actually fits over the pickup, you can definitely install a cover on a humbucker. For the best result, try to get a cover with holes that match up with the position of the magnetic poles of the pickup so you don't run into trouble when you want to adjust the pole height.
Do pickup covers have any influence over the sound?
Mounting a cover on a humbucker or single-coil pickup can lightly dampen the trebles. So if you prefer a more aggressive sound, it's probably best not to bother covering your pickups.
What do humbucker covers do?
A pickup cover can look a bit neater than the innards of the pickup itself, and besides protecting the electronics inside, a cover can help dampen the trebles and soften the sound of a humbucker, which some guitarists prefer and others don't.
