Popular in Plectrum
If you play a steel-string or electric guitar, you're probably going to want to use a pick! Picks, also referred to as plectrums, help you to produce a clear, bright sound and allow solo guitarists to reach the highest playing speeds possible. If you play the banjo, slide guitar, lap steel or resonator guitar, then you'll also want to check out our thumb picks and finger picks.
Most picks are made of nylon and vary in size from very thin (for instance, 0.53 mm) to very thick (1.5 mm). Thick guitar picks offer a heavier attack and are often used for playing individual notes. Thin guitar picks provide a softer attack and are more suited for strumming chords. You can order individual picks or a budget-friendly guitar pick set, perhaps in combination with a guitar pick holder.
