General

To record in the driving rain or into the teeth of the wind, you need a microphone that can withstand the elements. The Shure DuraPlex DH5 is one such microphone, and comes with a comfortable headset frame. Boasting an IP57 rating, this condenser microphone is dust and watertight and, as such, able to handle seriously rough conditions. The Shure DH5 is great at natural speech reproduction and therefore extremely effective when it comes to use in mid-tier films and broadcasts as well as speech, theatre and other live performance uses. Next to the headset microphone, the Shure DuraPlex pack includes all the essential accessories such as a storage pouch, Presence Cap, foam wind shield, Snap-Fit wind shield and a lavalier clip.

The sheer power of Shure's DuraPlex Series microphones doesn't lie in the microphone capsule alone. For full signal integrity, the cable you're using is at least equally important. That's why each DuraPlex microphone comes including a slim, 1.67-metre Shure Plex cable that's been double-grounded to guarantee a long lifespan and flawless signal transfer. In addition, the Shure Plex cable is immune to the shape memory effect and kinks and, if needed, can be easily given a different colour using standard stage paint, pens, make-up, etc.
