If you have a studio or are interested in recording, then the Neumann need no introduction. Since their products are usually high-quality with matching prices, the TLM 102 is a surprisingly affordable mic. As such, the Neumann TLM 102 Studio Set takes the biscuit and eats it! You get the excellent TLM 102 large-diaphragm condenser microphone and matching shock mount. This mic is even comfortable with high volume audio sources like drums and percussion and is especially effective for vocal recording. It offers a subtle 6 kHz boost for a bit of extra room to breathe and the tonal character is about as neutral as it gets.

Deze mic is een kleine krachtpatser met 'karakter'. Ik gebruik de mic voor voice-over en radio. De mic is super gevoelig. Zelfs met de chock mount is een low cut filter geen overbodige luxe om contactgeluiden te onderdrukken. Maar het geluid is warm, sprankelend en zeer gedetaileerd. Je kunt goed spelen met het proximity effect. Zeer fijne microfoon om mee te werken.

Prachtige microfoon. Klein maar krachtig. Ik gebruik hem voor mijn zang op te nemen, maar ik heb gelezen dat hij voor heel veel instrumenten een goede match is. De microfoon biedt een neutrale sound, en vangt mijn stem precies op zoals hij is. Er zit geen low-cut filter op, dus dit moet je achteraf zelf doen tijdens het mixen. Er zit een ingebouwde popfilter in, deze kun je eruit halen, maar maakt naar mijn mening vrij weinig verschil. Ook al zit er een ingebouwde filter in, raad ik wel aan om ook een externe popfilter te gebruiken (i.v.m. vocht in de microfoon). De bijgeleverde shockmount doet zijn werk goed. Het doosje van de microfoon en de shockmount is ook goed te gebruiken om hem in op te bergen, aangezien er veel foam bescherming in zit. Ik ben erg blij dat ik eindelijk deze aankoop heb gedaan. Ik heb mijn nieuwe werkpaard gevonden!
