Spotlight information

In contrast to Lighting such as Light Effect, lasers and moving heads, spotlights are meant to project light beams that do not move. With the exception of follow spotlights that are controlled manually, spotlights are used to light a wall or a static object.

We have spotlights available with a narrow, focused light beam but we also have versions that produce a wider, less intense beam (known as a wash). PAR spotlights are often used for basic lighting in locations ranging from from showrooms to pubs. Theatres often require real theatre spotlights, which allow you to create light beams with sharp edges so you can accurately light a specific piece of decor without accidentally lighting other parts of the stage. Nowadays, most lights are also available in LED versions, as they consume significantly less power. | Halloween!
