General
This Devine SPS 150 pop filter reduces the annoying peaks that can occur in your recordings due to strong plosives. Condenser microphones, which are used in studios to record the human voice with all its dynamics and details, are equipped with a diaphragm, which registers sound by detecting changes in air pressure. Since they are a highly sensitive component, the diaphragm should always be treated with great care. This pop filter helps you do that by countering excessive air pressure changes caused by hard 'P', 'B' or 'S' sounds.

Niet al te veel geld voor een simpel, maar noodzakelijk hulpmiddel bij stemopnamen met condensatormicrofoons. Aggressieve b, p, s en t-klanken worden in voldoende mate geëlimineerd. Scheelt een hoop werk bij het editen c.q. repareren van je zangdata. De arm is redelijk robuust, maar de stof lijkt mij kwetsbaar: even afwachten hoe die zich in de tijd gaat houden.

Het is een goed product, het is een beetje verrassend hoe groot het is en hoe zwaar het is in vergelijking met andere producten, maar over het algemeen werkt het, het is voor een lage prijs en het was binnen een paar uur bij mij thuis.

Ik had bij een poging om de Devine SPS 100 per ongeluk dit model besteld, maar heb er geen spijt van. Ik was voordat hij aankwam bang dat hij niet op mijn statief zou passen. Ik heb het hele pakket een maand geleden binnen gekregen, en hij past perfect. Hij is iets groter dan ik had verwacht, maar dat is niet erg.
De meegeleverde popfilter van mijn vorige microfoon (die ik niet gebruik omdat ik de microfoon met oorspronkelijke onderdelen wilt weggeven) bestond uit twee laagjes. Deze popfilter bestaat uit één laagje stof. Ik heb geen idee wat dat voor voor en nadelen heeft, maar hij is daardoor wel makkelijker schoon te maken.
