Casio Launch New Privia and Celviano Pianos

Thursday 3 August 2017 by Lizanne

Casio have introduced three new upright digital pianos to their assortment! In the popular Privia series, they present the PX-770 and the PX-870, and the Celviano range now includes the AP-270. These 70 models are successors to the 60 models and feature a new sound source and a modern design, available in white and black.

New sound source

In both the Privia and Celviano pianos, Casio have incorporated their own AiR Sound Source which features Damper Resonance. The new 70 models are equipped with an updated sound source with new samples; for example, the Celviano AP-270 offers two different grand pianos and the Privias have an improved Stereo Grand Piano. The PX-870, which is considered the new flagship of the series, features an enhanced speaker system as well.

Authentic playing experience

All three pianos have an 88-note Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action keyboard, which means the keys are equipped with sensitive sensors the pick up even the most subtle movements. That means you can play with the same dynamics and expression as you would on an acoustic piano. Also, each key has either an ivory or an ebony surface structure to make it feel as close to the real thing as possible. Lastly, all three models come with a frame and three pedals.
