In the past, Electro Harmonix (aka EHX) have succeeded in making your guitar sound like an organ with the B9 and C9, and an electric piano with the KEY9 and MEL9. While these pedals are great, if you're a guitarist who's been waiting for a pedal that makes realistic synth sounds, you're in luck. The new SYNTH9 makes your guitar sound like a true polyphonic synth.
EHX SYNTH9As its name suggests, the SYNTH9 doesn't give you just one synth sound but nine in all. That means you can conjure up synth sounds from the past (think of names like Van Halen, Peter Gabriel, Joy Division and Kraftwerk) as well as futuristic ones with just the pedal and your guitar. There are just four knobs to control the synth sounds, so you won't need a degree in engineering to learn how to work it. Two outputs give you the possibility to separate the guitar and synth sounds so you can use both at the same time. From now on, you won't just be a guitar god but synth master too!
