Fender 2017 Limited Edition: Guitars with a Story
Every year, Fender surprises us with yet another range of remarkable limited-edition instruments. Last year, they launched the Magnificent Seven collection, and this year, the number-one brand in guitars brings us the Exotic Woods series!
Sustainable exotic wood types
Fender are dedicated to the preservation of nature, which is why the brand is constantly in search of alternative tonewood sources. This means you can enjoy a guitar made of an exotic wood type with a clear conscience. The 2017 Limited Edition Mahogany Stratocaster is made of salvaged mahogany from Honduras, where Hurricane Mitch left a path of destruction in 1998. Instead of leaving these broken trees to rot, Fender breathed new life into this beautiful wood by using the material in their new range of Strats.
From Africa to America
Another masterpiece in Fender's new collection is the 2017 Limited Edition Shedua Top Stratocaster. It has an okoume body and a chic shedua top, which offers a bright sound and room for lots of dynamic expression. Both models can be found in the American Professional Series and feature three specially-voiced V-Mod single-coils and a comfortable maple neck with a Deep C profile.
