NAMM 2016: American DJ's NE1: A DMX Controller for Anyone
If you always wanted to try your hand at creating DMX light shows, but were afraid to take the first step, American DJ has some great news for you. Their new WiFLY NE1 Battery is a user-friendly, wireless DMX controller that's suitable for anyone (NE1, anyone - see what we did there?).
User-friendly controls
Lots of people would like to step up their lighting game, but are afraid to take on DMX. To operate the NE1, however, there's no need to take lessons in light engineering. Instead of hidden, complicated sub menus, you'll be dealing with hands-on controls. First of all, there's twelve buttons that control individual lights. Use them in combination with the colour, gobo, effect, show and pause buttons, and you've already made a great start. The pan and tilt functions can be operated by means of four knobs, while two faders control the strobe and the master dimmer.
Connectors
As the NE1 is equipped with a WiFLY receiver, you can use it to operate lights wirelessly, but it also has a regular 3-pin DMX connector, which makes it compatible with the Inno Series and RGB, RGBW, RGBA, RGBWA and RGBWA+UV LED PARs. Basically, you can use it with most DMX products that feature 36 or fewer channels.
In short, the ADJ WiFLY NE1 is practical DMX controller with intuitive controls. Now anyone can create their own DMX light shows!
