NAMM 2016: Denon DJ MCX8000 Preview
Denon has already announced that the company will return to the DJ market at full force on January 18th. With the arrival of the MCX8000 - and the images we've seen of it so far - we can't help but get excited about what this new piece of DJ kit promises to offer. Official specifications haven't been announced yet, however, so like everyone else, we'll have to wait patiently until Denon DJ uncovers more specific information.
A few things are for certain: the MCX8000 will be a stand-alone device that works with Engine music management software, and the name Serato is also clearly visible in the first available images. Furthermore, this powerful new Denon console shows similarities to the Numark NV, but that's purely based on the slanted displays, which don't necessarily have to be the same. A quick look at the jog wheels, meanwhile, reveals a certain Denon tabletop player influence - the blue LED rings particularly stand out.
That's all we can say for now. Until Denon dishes out all the details on January 18th, we'll leave it to you to speculate and anticipate further. Of course, you'll hear again from us on Monday, so keep a close eye on our news feed!
