NAMM 2016: Samson Expedition XP800 Portable PA System
Nothing is more frustrating to a travelling entertainer, than arriving to perform at a venue, only to find they have a poor PA system, or none at all! The solution is really quite simple: invest in your own., like Take the Samson XP800, for example! This PA system has just been unveiled, and we wanted you to be the first to know about it.
It's a tried-and-tested concept, - two speakers and an integrated mixer, yet we regularly see regularly new sets appearing on the market. Let's have a look at the Expedition XP800 in detail.
A sound to be proud of
Both of the XP800's speakers house an 8-inch woofer and a 1-inch tweeter. Together, they deliver a full-range sound of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, which adds up to some seriously deep bass! 2x 400 watts for the peaks and 2x 200 watts for the average volume level makes for a set of speakers we're pretty excited about.
The mixer
The integrated mixer offers loads of possibilities. Here are some facts you'd be interested to know: it has four inputs (with preamps) for mics, two stereo inputs (for keys, for instance), a USB port for a wireless microphone system (optional), a mini jack input and even Bluetooth (for your audio gadgets)! That's a lot to take in! There's also a 24-bit effects module for reverb, for instance, which you can adjust individually per mic channel, and a two-band equalizer for stereo and microphone inputs complete the picture.
We're pretty sure you're going to want to add the Samson Expedition XP800 to your wish list! You don't need to be a vocalist, either. If you give presentations, for example, a PA set like this one is ideal. For the latest information on delivery times and pricing, please keep an eye on the product page.
