NAMM 2016: The Tascam VL-S3BT
The VL-S3 was only just released, but that doesn't stop Tascam from introducing a new incarnation, the VL-S3BT. In looks, this new monitor set hasn't changed much, but the familiar design does boast a few new features.

At first glance, the VL-S3BT may not look very different, but we all know looks can be deceiving. In fact, the Tascam monitor set has a couple of new tricks up its sleeve that will certainly enhance your audio experience. Its main new attraction is a Bluetooth module, which allows you to stream music from your PC or laptop without the need for any cables.
The Tascam VL-S3BT monitor set supports the Bluetooth 4.0 protocol, which means the wireless connection between your computer and your monitors is virtually latency-free and interference-proof within a 10-metre range. In order to reproduce your audio in crystal-clear quality, the monitors are equipped with 0.5" tweeters and 3" woofers, ensuring a frequency range of 80 to 20,000 Hz - more than enough for beginner (home) studios. These Tascam monitors can also be put to good use as 'regular' speakers, however. Thanks to their Bluetooth connectivity, you can use them to enjoy your favourite music wherever you are, be it in the kitchen, in the living room or in your bedroom.
