New Multifunctional IK Multimedia Audio Interface
If you've been keeping an eye on IK Multimedia lately, you've probably already caught on which direction the company is moving in: universal applicability. Their MIDI keyboards, for instance, are not only compatible with Windows and Mac any more, but can now also be used with iOS and Android devices. The same can be said for IK Multimedia's latest audio interface: the iRig Pro DUO. That's right, this clever new device isn't just remarkably compact, it's extremely versatile too!
A modern interface
These days, the average external audio interface features two inputs for microphones, line devices (such as keyboards) or instruments (such as guitars), phantom power, balanced connectors for monitor speakers, and a headphone output with direct monitor function, so you can monitor your results while you're recording, without any delay. The IK Multimedia iRig Pro DUO offers all of the above, and captures it all in an exceptionally compact housing. What's more, this audio interface can be connected to a wide range of different devices, and even boasts MIDI in/out, which means you can hook it up to a keyboard or controller with the familiar 5-pin MIDI connectors.
Connecting the iRig Pro DUO
IK Multimedia's iRig Pro DUO comes with a USB cable (for Windows/Mac), a Lightning cable (for iOS devices with a Lightning connector) and a USB-OTG cable. The latter allows you to connect the interface to a compatible Android tablet or smartphone (see the specifications on the product page for specific requirements). An external power supply isn't necessary, as the DUO is powered either via the USB of your computer, or - if you're using it with an iOS or Android device - by two AA batteries (included). If you're a producer or musician who likes to record on location, or if your home studio only has limited room, the IK Multimedia iRig Pro DUO audio interface provides you with a practical, complete solution.
