Sabian Introduce 25 New Cymbals!
Sabian is adding no fewer than 25 new cymbals to its range of products for the coming year. There are new additions to the AA, AAX, XSR, B8X and HHX series, as well as a number of interesting new Artisan Light and Artisan Elite cymbals. The Artisan Elite series will increase the sound possibilities for jazz-oriented drummers in particular.
New effect cymbals
The B8X series has two new Ballistic crash cymbals. Both the 16-inch and 18-inch models produce a bright, focused sound. The AA series' new Mini Holy China cymbals come in 8, 10 and 12-inch versions with either a traditional or a brilliant finish. There are six new cymbals in the AAX series too. These Aero Splash models also come in 8, 10 and 12-inch versions with a traditional or brilliant finish. If you're looking for something a little bit different, what about the brand new Fast Stax from the XSR series? This cymbal stack consists of a 13-inch X-Celerator on top with a 16-inch China underneath for a sound that is bright with plenty of pop and attack. Finally, the HHX series has two new additions in the form of a 21-inch Evolution Brilliant ride and a 19-inch Evolution crash.
Sabian Artisan Light and Elite cymbals
Jazz-oriented drummers will find plenty to like in the new Artisan series cymbals. The Artisan Light Hats come in 14 and 15-inch versions with a traditional or brilliant finish. These hi-hats produce a predominantly low pitch with a dark, rich sound. If you want something that sounds more gritty, then the Artisan Elite Hats may be more your style. These hi-hats have been intensively hammered and are available in 14 and 15-inch models. Last but not least, there are two new ride cymbals, a 20-inch and a 22-inch model that have been added to the Artisan Elite series.
