The MKE 440 has been designed to pick up the sound you want to record only and filter out the rest. Its two mics have a double layer of mesh that prevents unwanted noise like wind from getting through. This design is far more effective than using a windshield. The mic has a robust housing and a three-level sensitivity adjustment for optimal recording depending on your environment. The MKE 440 runs on batteries and comes complete with a coiled mini jack cable.
