Modern humbuckers often have Alnico 2, Alnico 5 and/or ceramic magnets fitted which, while sounding great, obviously don't have the same sound. With rarely used Alnico 4 magnets fitted however, Seymour Duncan's Saturday Night Special humbuckers produce a highly authentic, vintage sound straight out of the '70s. In particular, the neck pickup is pretty special, as it sounds less wooly than most other neck pickups.
Black, nickel, single or set?
The black version is available as a single neck pickup, a single bridge pickup or as a set. If you'd prefer a more vintage look to go with the sound, the nickle-finished neck, bridge and set versions may suit you better.
