Spectrasonics Presents Keyscape
With Keyscape, American company Spectrasonics is bringing an impressive number of pianos to the virtual instruments market. As well as regular pianos, the range includes lots of well-known and hard-to-find electric and electro-acoustic pianos. If your curiousity has been tweaked, read on to find out more.
Legendary keyboards
In total, Keyscape delivers 36 different types of pianos, spread over 77 GB of sound samples. Renowned classics like Rhodes, Clavichord, Celesta and Toy pianos are all present, of course. It's no surprise that there are a fair number of Roland models too, given that Spectrasonics founder Eric Persing developed many familiar sounds for Roland over the years. As such, you'l find sounds from the Roland MKS synths and even one from the Roland JD-800. With so many choices, you'd almost be forgiven for forgetting about the brilliantly produced C7 concert grand piano, an upright piano and a tack piano.
Take a good look at the product page for a screenshot of all the models that are included. There are so many, it's not really practical to list them all here. Bear in mind that all of the sounds are customisable too. The video gives you a good idea of what you can expect. In the studio or on the stage, Keyscape will give you more keyboards than you can shake a stick at!
