Fans of punk in general, and Tim Armstrong in particular, are in for a treat. Fender has created a new version of the Tim Armstrong Hellcat in a matte black finish. The neck has a natural finish that contrasts beautifully with the rest of the body. If you want one, you'll have to be quick though, because only 68 of these have been made!
Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat Black Ruby
The limited edition Tim Armstrong Hellcat lives up to its name: Black Ruby. Just like real rubies, this electro-acoustic guitar is both exclusive and desirable. Apart from the colour, the hardware also grabs your attention. The pickguard is shaped to resemble a cat's eyes, while the rosewood bridge and fretboard are both beautifully finished. The fretboard has small 'hellcat' inlays on the third, fifth and seventh frets, while the twelfth fret features two skulls! The rich and creamy sound produced by the mahogany body can be amplified through the Fishman Isys III preamp with EQ. In short, this is a beautiful signature model for an attractive price. Fender FSR MA-1 3/4 size black and blue
Apart from the extra-special limited edition version mentioned above, Fender also has two other similar models. These MA-1 3/4-sized guitars are also limited editions available in glossy black or blue. It's not just the colours that are special though. These guitars are slightly smaller than full size models at 3/4 of the normal size. This makes them easy to transport and highly suitable for children.
