General

The Alesis PhonoLink is an all-in-one USB audio solution and allows for easy, plug-and-play connections to Mac or PC. The cable converts analogue stereo line or mono signals from turntables, tape decks, mixers and other stereo line-level sources to digital audio files (MP3) via USB. This USB audio cable from the AudioLink series transmits studio-grade audio output in 16-bit, 44.1kHz format, thanks to an internal analogue-to-digital conversion system.

Wrote the following about Alesis PhonoLink USB sound card

mijn laptop heeft geen audio-ingang. Heeft slechts een mono-microfoon ingang. Om LP's over te zetten op CD's is dat onvoldoende. D.m.v. deze externe phonolink gaat dit uitstekend. Het ingangsvolume naar de USBpoort is bovendien variabel instelbaar. Het is voor mij persoonlijk een goede aanschaf. Het ding maakt waar wat in de omschrijving wordt beloofd. T.J.Sinoo 19-2-2012
