Roland JM-8 VIMA Entertainment Module

General

The Roland JM-8 VIMA is the larger counterpart of the JM-5. This entertainment module is well-equipped to serve as an advanced karaoke machine. Via USB, the internal CD drive or the built-in 120GB hard drive you can effortlessly load a wide range of music files. The JM-8 recognises MIDI data and audio files and is fitted with various audio inputs, including two microphone inputs. It is also equipped with several video outputs and a video input, enabling you to show song lyrics, accompanied by a slide show, during your performance.

The karaoke functionality of the JM-8

The JM-8 VIMA enables you to connect two microphones via professional XLR inputs. The entertainment module is also fitted with several RCA and jack inputs, allowing for the connection of other audio sources. Reverb effects and even (for microphone 1) harmony effects enable you to spice up the incoming sound a little.

MIDI files

The JM-8 allows you to sing along with Standard MIDI Files (SMF), which make use of the more than 1,000 built-in sounds and 57 drum kits of the entertainment module. The tempo and the pitch of the music can easily be adjusted, and it is also possible to add some additional flavour by means of reverb, chorus, equalizer and multi effects.

Audio files

The JM-8 VIMA enables you to load MP3 and WAV music files as well as audio CDs, but you can also connect an external player to the module. With the Center Cancel function, lead vocals can be filtered out of a track and successful karaoke performances can be stored on a USB stick or on the internal hard drive. The JM-8 VIMA is also equipped with an internal CD burner. This incredibly elaborate entertainment/karaoke system is suited for use at home, but also works great in a bar or at a party!
