General

Part of the modern TRBX Series, the Yamaha TRBX 174 RTB four-string bass comes coated in a vintage-style 'Tobacco Brown Sunburst' finish and packs immense tonal flexibility.

Stable & Powerful

In place of the mahogany body of most TRBX Series models, the Yamaha TRBX 174 TBS bears the outstanding balance and sonic character of an alder body, filling out the acoustic foundation with an even layer of lows, mids, and trebles, while the matching mahogany neck and Sonokelin (Indian rosewood) fretboard add a touch of warmth. The electronic core of this bass is formed by the classic configuration of a standard single coil at the bridge and a split-coil in the middle, delivering an incredibly defined, transparent, and ultimately powerful amplified sound that's wiped clean of any 50Hz hum. Couple that with the contoured body shaping, and you have nothing short of a comfy and versatile modern classic.
