General

The chocalho consists of a frame with handles to which many jingles are attached. They are widely used in parades and give a rich jingling and massive sound, especially when a number of sambistas or sambeiras are shaking it. This chocalho is smaller than the usual size but retains its present sound and remains clear and audible. Due to its light weight, it can even be used as a shaker with one hand and one can shake it long and consistently.
