General

The Guild Starfire VI guitar is an exceptional guitar with a laminated flamed maple top, sides and back, Grover machine heads and custom LB-1 'Little Buckers'. The result is an attractive arched top hollow body for a remarkable price!

Construction

The entire body as well as the top of this Guild Starfire VI is made of laminated flamed maple. Both the front and back are slightly arched as well. The 3-piece neck is made of two pieces of maple and a decorative strip of walnut. The 22-fret rosewood fretboard adds warm overtones to this guitar's sparkling, clear base tone. Rosewood is also used for the T.O.M-style bridge. The Guild Vibrato is attached to the bridge by means of wooden pegs that anchor it to the body and feedback doesn't stand a chance thanks to the solid ash centre block.

Guild 'Little Buckers'

Guild are known for their custom pickup configuration, which consists of two Guild 'Little Buckers'. In terms of sound, they sit between a classic humbucker and a sparkling single coil but add more clarity and sparkle than a traditional P90. They also offer more warmth and considerably less noise than a single coil. The comprehensive tone control enables you to produce a wide array of sounds and the infamous feedback problem hollow bodies are often susceptible to is kept to a minimum thanks to the solid block of maple in the middle of the body. In short, it's got all the ingredients of a hollow body that will provide you with playing enjoyment for years to come!
