Legendary jazz guitarist George Benson has been associated with Ibanez for years. The GB10SE is the updated version of his Signature semi-acoustic model. The body is slightly smaller than Benson's LG series which makes playing sweet jazz licks even easier. One of this model's highlights are its floating pickups which help to eliminate feedback and ensure a superbly warm sound. The GB10SE also has a stunning Sunburst finish and comes complete with a deluxe case.
Tones without trouble
Semi-acoustic guitars often have a problem with feedback and manufacturers go about combatting this in different ways. On this model, the two GB Special mini-humbucker pickups are attached to the tortoise pickguard so that they literally float above the body. This not only helps to eliminate feedback but delivers a great tone worthy of George Benson himself as well. You can further customise the sound to your own taste by using the 3-way pickup switch and the tone and volume controls for each pickup.
Other features and wood types
The GB10's tailpiece and floating ebony bridge ensure perfect string tension and, in combination with the specially-designed half bone/half brass string nut, excellent sustain too. The body and neck of this guitar are made of maple with a spruce top and an ebony fretboard which features acrylic and abalone position block markers.
