For years, the Beyerdynamic DT 109 headphones have been the audio industry standard in terms of headphone monitoring for live, broadcasting, studio, film, TV and linguistic applications. These are the 50-ohm model in black with a black headband and ear pads.
Design
These headphones have an extremely durable construction and a straightforward, attractive vintage design that hasn't changed since the sixties. Virtually all the components in these headphones are replaceable in case anything gets broken or lost. The headband is adjustable and finished with soft leather, and the flexible gooseneck microphone can easily be manoeuvred into the optimal position of five to ten centimetres away from the mouth.
Construction
The headphones and dynamic microphone are both equipped with sensitive transducers. The ear pads ensure excellent sound isolation and keep ambient noise to an absolute minimum by closing off the ears completely. A cable for these headphones is sold separately.
