At first sight, this Presonus Sceptre S8 CoActual active studio monitor looks unlike any studio monitor you've ever seen. While common monitors have a separate woofer and tweeter, the Sceptre combines both so the audio is emitted from a central point. This technology has been around for some time now, but until recently, it was extremely expensive. Presonus have managed to create an affordable studio monitor with this technology that's ideal for mixing. Its 8-inch woofer produces low tones that provide more tonal depth in your music than ever before!
The story of the single audio source
This monitor enables you to detect mixing errors that you probably wouldn't even hear from a conventional monitor. When audio comes from two directions (the tweeter and the woofer), this creates an acoustic differentiation when you reposition yourself, and sometimes the crossover between these two elements is even audible. The Sceptre doesn't experience any of these issues and produces audio that is as pure as the source itself.

Ik heb talloze monitoren beluisterd en vond weinig moois. Bij de Adams vond ik het meer een bas-bom, bij d Genelec kreeg ik het indruk alsof ik constand de loudness aan had.
Na heel wat reviews gelezen te hebben over deze Sceptre S8 ben ik toch in het diepe gesprongen en kocht de speaks bij Bax. Na een aantal dagen flink ingespeeld te zijn is hij uit zijn Break Point en ben ik gaan luisteren.
Wat een geluid!!! alles klopte. Hij kan ondanks zijn beperkte laag toch heel diep klinken. De monitors zijn in mijn ogen echt Hi Fidelity en ik raad iedereen aan die Hauptwerk gebruiken om eens naar deze speakers te luisteren..
TOP TOP, nu alleen de subwoofer kopen voor de volgende verbetering.
